 | - Turn your computer OFF. Remove old keyboard.
- Plug the TypeMatrix into the PS/2 port of the computer. To use a USB port,
connect the TypeMatrix keyboard cord to the USB adapter tail marked with
the keyboard icon. Plug into the USB port on the computer.
- Turn the computer ON. Your keyboard is now ready to use.
- Turn your computer OFF. Remove old keyboard.
- Using a Belkin adapter (part F5u119E not provided but available on our
site), make sure to plug the TypeMatrix keyboard into the adapter tail
marked with the keyboard icon. Plug into the USB port on the
computer.
- Turn the computer ON.
- Turning on your computer for the first time with the TypeMatrix keyboard
connected will invoke the Keyboard Setup Assistant.
- Click the Continue button.
- Press the lower of the two keys on the right side of the left Shift key
(the "Z" key for QWERTY labeled Keyboards or the ";" key for Dvorak
labeled keyboards).
- Press the "pipes" key (the one that has "|", "\", and the number 6 on
it). Note: you will remain at this window for a while. If there is no
change after a couple minutes, press the "pipes" key a couple of
times.)
- Click the OK button in the "Your keyboard cannot be identified"
window.
- Select ANSI (United States and others) radio button.
- Click the DONE button.
